SCRAPtastic
There's this awesome store in town called SCRAP (www.scrapaction.org). They sell recycled business stuff cheap. Tazo tea donates lots to them. The thing on the left is a (painted) little tazo tea folder thingie. The jesus tape came from a store out on NW 23rd. I <3 Jesus Tape.
Hi Melanie, I found you on....hmmm...I can't remember whose page. It's fun to look at your pages. I see so much beauty and intense creativity. Don't stop.
Hi Melanie, Thank you so much for your message. I have just been reading your blog for the first time. I love your journal pages, esp the woman on the high wire page. When I see pages like yours it makes me want to try art in my journals, but alas, I end up just sticking with words and a bit of collage.
Thanks for your post. Glad I found your blog. Quite intense journaling! Love your style, sometimes dark, sometimes brighter ... but always on the edge (from what I've seen so far). Will surely come back and put you on my blogroll. And thanks for posting the link to the Creative Reuse Center. Will definitely check it out when I'm in Portland for Art & Soul.
I love these. Do you comb garage sales for journaling material? This is so much better than standard-issue scrapbooking.

ReplyDeleteMelanie,
ReplyDeleteA voice from a long time ago. So good to see you still creating and busy.
SCRAP looks like a place I need to visit! Thanks for mentioning it. I'll check it out next time I am in Portland.
