My mother's last piece of art

I have spent hours online reading messages and emails from my mom. It brings me so much comfort to see the number of people who felt her presence and considered their lives better because of her.

This is the last thing she did on the day before she died. She spent all day making art. She used the image of Frida in her painful corset brace and put wings on her. I think it is telling. Please share this photo with the groups that she participated in.

Sorry to hear about Vicki's death. I participated in quite a few swaps with her and others at various Yahoo groups, as well as Nervousness.org in it's "heyday". I think I first met Vicki on the Arts de Mer cruise from LA to Ensenada a few years back. She was inspiring!

I met her online when I was purchasing something. When she saw I was from Corona, she immediately asked me to join her art group. Though I couldn't, I have never forgotten that gesture. I accidentally met her at Little Bizaar in Lake Elsinore when she was in a class. We hugged.
My sincere condolences to your family. Kim

My sympathies Melanie...we swapped blog links ages ago and I just recently heard of your mother's passing through a yahoo group but didn't make the connection to you. Her last piece is just stunning! I love Fredia, the colors and the butterflies...
My condolences to you and yours.
Kat

It is going to be hard to find someone as inspiring to take over the company!...you are lucky to have had such an amazing mom... and she was lucky to have such an amazing, talented and creative family!....sincerely, Gayle
